The Union League library specializes in American Civil War, American and European history, World War I and II, regional history, biographies and early 20th century travel. The library is housed in the Sir John Templeton Heritage Cent3er of the historic Union League House in Philadelphia, one of the country's pre-eminent private clubs, founded in 1862 to support Abraham Lincoln, the administration, and the Union cause.
