At the April board meeting, PACSCL exercised the option to appoint a Class D Director. The election was overseen by John Anderies of the William Way LGBT Community Center, Chair of the Nominations & Governance Committee, who noted that “This year saw the most competitive slate of candidates for the PACSCL board in many years. Thanks to all who were willing to stand for election! We had an amazing slate of candidates this year. The willingness of so many people to get involved as candidates and the robust turn out at the polls by member representatives says a lot about the strength of this community.”
The new board members began their three-year terms with PACSCL effective May 5, 2021 and can serve a maximum of two terms.
Tracey T. Williams, Deputy Commissioner, Department of Records, Philadelphia City Archives & Record Storage Center, and newly appointed PACSCL Director said that she is “truly honored and excited to be serving on the PACSCL Board. I look forward to working with some of the most skilled and passionate professionals in the industry in marketing our robust archival assets as tools to develop young people for an earnest appreciation for knowledge.”
“This influx of new Directors brings to PACSCL a depth of experience from a wide range of PACSCL member institutions. We look forward to their contributions to PACSCL’s growth over the coming years,” stated Will Noel, John T. Maltsberger III ’55 Associate University Librarian for Special Collections at Princeton University Library and Chair of PACSCL.
